Flanders Fields Tour
If you're in Brussels and want to visit a significant site from the First World War, this tour to Flanders Fields is suitable for you. At the specified time, we will meet on Boulevard de Berlaimont and start our tour.
Between 1914 and 1918, the Flanders Fields were an important scene on the Western Front. Firstly, we will visit the German Military Cemetery in Langemark, where over 44,000 soldiers are buried, including a visit to the Comrades Grave.
Next, we will continue to Ypres for a break to eat at a restaurant. Afterward, we will visit the Flanders Fields Museum, which displays trenches and underground refuges and provides insights into the conditions faced by soldiers.
Our following stop will be the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 in Zonnebeke, focusing on the Third Battle of Ypres, known as the Battle of Passchendaele.
We will also explore the Tyne Cot Memorial, the largest cemetery in the Commonwealth of Nations, dedicated to soldiers who died in the conflict.
To complete our tour, we will stop at the Monument to the Disappeared at the Menin Gate, a memorial to over 54,000 soldiers without a known grave.
Finally, we will return to Brussels, concluding our tour after a total of 13 hours.
