Day Trip Details

After being picked up from your chosen meeting point or hotel in Bucharest, we will head north through the forests of Transylvania.

Our first stop is in Sinaia, where we visit the Peles Castle, used by the Romanian royal family as their summer residence. You will tour the decorated halls from the end of the 19th century when King Charles I began its construction.

We will then proceed to the historic city of Bra?ov, where you will have 1.5 hours of free time to explore the historic city center or have lunch at local restaurants.

After lunch, we will visit Bran Castle. We will provide insights into its history and tips for your exploration. You will learn about Vlad III “the Impaler,” the figure who inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula. You'll discover the origins of this legendary character, a symbol of Transylvania.

Following the exploration of Bran's Castle, we will return to Bucharest, enjoying scenic views along the way.

Admission Tickets

Tickets are not included in the tour price. It is recommended to purchase them in advance, especially on weekends and public holidays. Book at least 7 days in advance but no sooner than 30 days before the visit. If tickets for Peles Castle are unavailable, you may visit Peli?or Castle instead.

For Peles Castle, choose a time slot between 9 am and 11 am.For Bran Castle, select the 3 pm time slot.

Itinerary Changes

Peles Castle is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. If your tour is on these days, you will see it from the outside and visit an exhibition on medieval torture instruments in Bran instead.

The itinerary is subject to change based on traffic and seasonal events. Expect long lines during peak season.

Important: Peles Castle will be closed for maintenance from November 3 to December 2, 2025. Weather permitting, you can visit Pelisor Castle instead and have free time around the Peles Castle grounds.
