Discover the northern part of Bucharest on this guided tour of the Village Museum and Herastrau Park, where we'll also visit the Arc of Triumph!
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Charles de Gaulle Square to begin our guided tour, exploring two notable sites in Bucharest.
Our first stop is the Village Museum (Satului Museum), an open-air ethnographic collection showcasing Romania's heritage. This site spans over 100,000 square meters and features more than 300 rustic buildings that represent traditional Romanian village life, including wooden houses, farms, mills, and churches.
As we walk through the museum, we'll explore the history of rural life in Romania and discuss how people lived in past centuries, gaining insights into Romania's cultural diversity through architecture and traditional garments.
Next, we will visit Herastrau Park, a popular site for outdoor activities among locals. We will then view a significant monument that contributes to Bucharest's nickname as the Little Paris.
After 3.5 hours away from the city's hustle and bustle, we'll conclude the tour at our starting point.
