Discover the northern part of Bucharest on this guided tour of the Village Museum and Herastrau Park, where we'll also visit the Arc of Triumph!
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Charles de Gaulle Square to kick off our guided tour, where we'll discover two of the most famous places in Bucharest.
Our first stop is the Village Museum, better known as the Satului Museum. This open-air ethnographic collection spans over 100,000 square meters and consists of more than 300 rustic buildings showcasing traditional Romanian village life. We will see installations, including wooden houses, farms, mills, and churches.
As we stroll through the outdoor space, we'll delve into the history of rural life in Romania and learn about how people lived centuries ago. This will provide insight into Romania's cultural diversity through architecture and traditional clothing on exhibit.
Next, we'll move into Herastrau Park, a popular spot for outdoor activities among Romanians. We will also admire a notable monument that has contributed to calling Bucharest the Little Paris.
After 3.5 hours of exploration, we'll conclude the tour at our starting point.
