Guided Tour of the Budapest Opera House
Upon arrival at the main hall of the Budapest Opera House, we will embark on a guided journey through this stunning Neo-Renaissance structure, crafted by renowned Hungarian architect Miklós Ybl. Built in the 19th century, its development was overseen by Francis Joseph I of Austria, who requested that it remain smaller than the opera house in Vienna.
Our exploration will take us through the Hungarian State Opera House's stately hall, adorned with intricate oak panels and rich red drapes. Following this, we will navigate down the grand staircase, leading us directly to the impressive auditorium.
As we conclude our visit to the Budapest Opera House, we’ll enjoy a 10-minute live performance by two talented opera singers on the second largest stage in Europe.
Partial Closures
During rehearsals, access to the auditorium may be restricted. In these instances, we will make arrangements to reschedule the visit with ample notice.
