Embark on an extraordinary adventure in the heart of the open ocean with our kayak tour at Punta de Teno. This excursion will take you to the majestic Los Gigantes Cliffs while allowing you to snorkel in the pristine waters of Tenerife.

Description

This activity beautifully fuses outdoor sport, exploration, and nature. We will gather at a designated time at Punta de Teno to kick off our kayaking journey. Prior to departure, a concise briefing will cover paddling techniques and essential safety protocols.

Once equipped, we will glide into our kayaks, setting off from the shoreline with two participants per kayak. If you're new to kayaking, there’s no need for concern; they are quite manageable.

You will be captivated by the ocean's stunning blue hue, as well as its remarkable depth! As we paddle under the watchful gaze of the Punta de Teno Lighthouse, we’ll approach the striking Los Gigantes Cliffs. Known as the 'Walls of Hell' by Tenerife's ancient Guanche inhabitants, these cliffs soar nearly 2,000 ft (600 metres) into the sky.

During our journey, our knowledgeable instructors will share insights about the diverse marine life surrounding us. We will also make a stop at a sheltered bay to snorkel, providing you with the opportunity to explore the vibrant underwater ecosystem while also stretching your limbs.

Finally, we will begin our return to Punta de Teno, concluding the kayak excursion after approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes on the water.

How to Reach Punta de Teno

Access to Punta de Teno by private vehicles is limited. You may drive only up to the municipality of Buenavista del Norte, and then take bus line 369 from the bus station to Punta de Teno. The ride lasts about 20 minutes.
