If you're a thrill-seeker, you'll love our paragliding activity in El Quindío! You'll get your adrenaline pumping as you soar over the coffee plantations of the Colombian Quindío Department and admire incredible views.

El Quindío Paragliding Activity

At your chosen time, we'll meet in Plaza de Buenavista in the municipality of Buenavista, Quindío Department. We will travel to the airstrip, which is located at 6,200 feet (1,890 metres) above sea level.

Upon arrival, pilots will explain the specific safety protocols and take-off and landing recommendations. Then, you'll get outfitted with harnesses and helmets to take to the skies!

You will fly for 10 to 15 minutes over the Coffee Cultural Landscape, rich with crops including coffee plantations, guaduas, and trumpet trees. The 4-mile (7-kilometre) route will include information from the pilot about the municipalities you pass and how locals adapt to the landscape.

If weather conditions are favorable, you may have the opportunity to manoeuvre the paraglider yourself following the pilot's instructions!

Who can do this activity?

The minimum weight for paragliding is 40 pounds (18 kilograms) and the maximum weight is 209 pounds (95 kilograms). This activity is not suitable for pregnant women or individuals who have recently undergone surgery.
