El Quindío Paragliding Activity

If you're a thrill-seeker, you'll love our paragliding activity in El Quindío! You'll get your adrenaline pumping as you soar over the coffee plantations of the Colombian Quindío Department and admire incredible views.

El Quindío Paragliding Activity

At your chosen time, we'll see you in Plaza de Buenavista, located in the municipality of the same name in the Quindío Department. We'll board our vehicle and head to the airstrip at 6,200 feet (1,890 metres) above sea level.

Upon arrival, the pilots will explain the specific safety protocols and recommendations for take-off and landing. You'll be fitted with harnesses and helmets before taking to the skies!

You will fly for 10 to 15 minutes over the Coffee Cultural Landscape, characterized by coffee plantations, guaduas, and trumpet trees. During the 4-mile (7-kilometre) route, the pilot will identify municipalities and discuss how locals adapt to the terrain.

Weather permitting, you'll have the opportunity to manoeuvre the paraglider yourself under the pilot's guidance!

Who can do this activity?

The minimum weight for paragliding is 40 pounds (18 kilograms) and the maximum weight is 209 pounds (95 kilograms). Pregnant women or individuals who have recently undergone surgery cannot participate in this activity.
