Argentinian Mate Workshop in Recoleta

This Argentine mate workshop will take place at Matea, Aromas y Sabores located in La Recoleta, one of the most happening neighbourhoods in Buenos Aires.

In a room dedicated entirely to mate, participants will begin the workshop by learning about the origins of this infusion, the inventor of the drink, different consumption methods, its historical and cultural relevance, and its aromas and flavours.

During the workshop, attendees will taste various agroecological and smoked yerba varieties, as well as different mate grinds and blends. While preparing and enjoying their mate, they will also have a selection of Argentinian sweets, including croissants, homemade alfajores, and cheese scones known as chipas.

Between infusions, participants will learn about some legends associated with the world of mate, some dating back hundreds of years.

The workshop lasts 50 minutes, concluding the activity with enhanced knowledge and appreciation for mate.
