On this street art tour of the Mugica neighbourhood, we'll explore graffiti in one of Buenos Aires' most vibrant districts.

Tour Details

After meeting at Torre Monumental at the designated time, we'll begin this tour of the Mugica neighbourhood, also known as Barrio 31, to explore its artistic side.

We will discuss the origins of the street art movement in this neighbourhood, the significance of its murals, and the artists behind them. As we wander through the streets surrounded by the traditional houses of this Latin American neighbourhood, we will search for one of the most famous graffiti paintings in the district: that of Diego Maradona.

You'll learn how each spray of graffiti tells the story of everyday life for Mugica's residents, reflecting their beliefs, customs, and identity through artworks depicting geometric figures, faces, labour, local literature, and football. There will also be an opportunity to meet young artists.
