El Viejo Almacén, founded in 1969 by composer Edmundo Rivero, is a significant cultural site in Buenos Aires. It has hosted renowned tango figures such as Aníbal Troilo, Osvaldo Pugliese, and Roberto Goyeneche. Notable audiences have included Spanish King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofía.

The tango show lasts one and a half hours and features an orchestral quintet, four tango couples, a male singer, a female vocalist, and a folk music group, with Hugo Marcel being a prominent performer.
