Kyzyl Kum Desert 2-Day Journey

Day 1: Bukhara to Nurata and Kyzyl Kum

The adventure begins as we collect you from your accommodation in Bukhara at the arranged time and proceed by minibus for a thrilling exploration of the Kyzyl Kum desert. The name translates to "red sand" in Uzbek, and we'll share intriguing insights during our travels.

After approximately a 4-hour ride, we will make our first stop in Nurata. This ancient city boasts a rich history, which we will uncover as we explore the renowned Chashma complex, dating back to the 4th century BC. We will also take a look at the Juma Mosque, the old Panjvaqta Mosque, and the historic Nurata Arab Baths.

The next highlight of our journey will be a yurt camp located in the Kyzyl Kum desert, where an opportunity to swim in the Aidar Lake awaits. We will savor a delightful traditional dinner followed by a cultural folklore performance unique to the desert. Afterward, we will retreat to the yurts for a restful night.

Day 2: From Kyzyl Kum to Samarkand and Back to Bukhara

Awakening like true nomads of Central Asia, we will commence our second day with breakfast amidst the stunning sunrise over the desert, a perfect way to etch your Kyzyl Kum experience into memory.

Once you are energized, we'll make our way to Samarkand, where you will have free time for lunch. When booking, kindly inform us if you wish to conclude the tour in Samarkand or Bukhara. Should you choose Bukhara, we will return to your hotel by 5 pm.

The tour provides one night’s stay in a yurt camp within the Kyzyl Kum desert. These spacious and comfortable tents, accommodating up to 4 individuals, offer a unique and memorable overnight experience.
