In this activity, participants will gaze at the night sky in the Vetón forest of Cabezabellosa and learn to interpret constellations from both mythological and scientific perspectives.

Cabezabellosa Astronomy Tour

Shortly after sunset, we will meet at the indicated point, a few meters from the natural observatory of the Vetón forest of Cabezabellosa.

This oak grove, settled by the Vetons in pre-Roman times, is located at an altitude of 900 metres (2952 feet), providing amazing views of the night sky due to the clarity from the mountains and absence of light pollution. Participants will be guided in identifying significant stars and learning the names and meanings of the constellations. The tour includes discovering new celestial bodies while listening to ancient myths related to cosmology.

Additionally, the experience will include a scientific perspective, focusing on the physical processes behind the formation of stars and other space objects over millions of years.

After two hours of stargazing, the activity will conclude with a return to the starting point.
