Row through the icy waters of the Beagle Channel and admire the coastline of Puerto Williams and Navarino Island on our kayak tour. Explore the Chilean part of Tierra del Fuego and take in its scenery.

Beagle Channel Kayak Tour

At 10 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Williams and drive to a campsite on the outskirts. Upon arrival, we will discuss safety rules and prepare wetsuits, waterproofs, protective skirts, and other equipment. Then, we will embark on our kayaks.

We will row through the icy waters of the Beagle Channel, a narrow strait connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The first part of the route will be in a sheltered area for kayaking practice. Once you gain confidence, we will navigate away from Puerto Williams to admire its coastline and the rest of Navarino Island.

During the tour, we will learn about local bird species and the history of the Yaganes, an Indigenous Fuegian community with centuries of history.

The tour concludes as we return to the campsite for a snack of local products and a craft beer. We will then drop you off at your hotel in Puerto Williams by 2 pm.

Sea Lion Watching

If you wish to enhance your experience, consider booking a longer route with lunch that includes a kayak tour of the Beagle Channel with sea lion watching.
