Beagle Channel Kayak Tour

At 10 am, pickup is available from your hotel in Puerto Williams to drive to a campsite on the outskirts of the city.

Upon arrival, safety rules for the activity will be discussed, and we will prepare the necessary equipment including wetsuits, waterproofs, and protective skirts. Then, we will begin kayaking.

We will row through the icy waters of the Beagle Channel, a strait connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The initial part will be in a more sheltered area for participants to practice kayaking before moving away from Puerto Williams to admire the coastline and Navarino Island.

Throughout the tour, participants will learn about local bird species and the history of the Yaganes, an Indigenous Fuegian community with centuries of history.

The tour concludes with a return to the campsite for a snack of local products and a craft beer. Participants will be returned to their hotel in Puerto Williams by 2 pm.
