Navarino Island Tour
Our adventure begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Puerto Williams at 3:30 pm. From there, we’ll embark on our exploration of Navarino Island.
This tour encompasses a total distance of 15.5 miles (25 kilometers), during which multiple stops will allow you to take in the breathtaking views. Situated on the southern edge of the Beagle Channel, this Patagonian island, part of the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, offers exceptional sights of the narrow waterway that links the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, serving as a natural boundary with Argentina.
The close proximity of these nations contributed to the Beagle conflict. Throughout our journey, we’ll encounter remnants of this historical dispute, alongside some archaeological evidence from the Yaghan People, recognized as one of the southernmost Indigenous groups globally.
In addition to uncovering the history and ecology of Navarino Island, we will also observe various coastal bird species residing in this part of the Cape Horn Biosphere Reserve (RBCH).
Our tour will conclude at a scenic viewpoint, where you can savor a selection of local products paired with a refreshing beer. After this delightful tasting experience, we’ll return you to your hotel in Puerto Williams, with an estimated drop-off time of 7:30 pm.
