Discover the paradisiacal landscapes of the state of Rio de Janeiro on this catamaran trip around Cabo Frio. We'll get to know the most beautiful and important corners of this coastal city.

Cabo Frio Catamaran Ride

We'll meet at 11 am at the Canal Boulevard terminal to board a catamaran and begin this journey through Cabo Frio.

On board, we'll head towards the Itajuru Channel, a 6-kilometer (nearly 4-mile) passage connecting the Araruama Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean. We'll also pass through the Moringa area, a luxurious area established in the 70s.

Next, we'll visit Ilha do Japonês, a small island with crystal clear waters. We'll then proceed to the Forte de São Mateus, a fort built in 1616 for defense against invasions.

A stop will be made at Praia do Forte for swimming, with the option for snorkeling available.

We'll return to the catamaran and travel to Farol da Lajinha, a 7-meter (23-foot) lighthouse since 1913. Then, we'll continue to Praia Brava, known for its strong waves.

Finally, we'll stop at Ilha dos Papagaios, where you can swim and observe migrating parrots and parakeets. Legend suggests couples kissing in front of the island will never separate.

The catamaran ride will conclude with our return to the starting point between 1:30 and 2 pm.
