Cabo Frio Schooner Ride

We'll meet at 9:30 am at the port of Cabo Frio and set off on a catamaran trip. The journey begins by sailing through the Itajuru Channel, connecting the Araruama Lagoon with the Atlantic Ocean. During this part, you will see the Moringa Condominium, one of the most luxurious neighborhoods in Cabo Frio.

Next, we will skirt the coast of the islet of Japonés and head for the island of Papagayos, where you will have 30 minutes of free time for swimming. Afterward, we'll sail past Praia Brava and the fort of San Mateo.

Our next stop will be at the Fort's beach, providing another 30 minutes for swimming. We will then continue to the inlet of Navío Carolina, named after the ship that sank here in 1913.

After learning about the shipwreck, we'll navigate around the promontory of the Cabo Frio lighthouse and head back to the starting pier. Arrival is scheduled for two and a half hours after we set sail.
