Why Visit Cáceres Co-Cathedral?

Experience the history of the Co-cathedral of Saint Mary, originating in the 13th century. Located in the heart of Cáceres, it was reconstructed in the late Gothic style during the 16th and 17th centuries, with Renaissance elements later added by Pedro Ybarra and Pedro Marquina. The tour, complemented by an audio guide in English, will reveal the differences between a Co-cathedral and a Cathedral, along with its designation year. Visitors can admire the intricate stone carvings and soaring ceilings. A notable highlight is the Black Christ located in the chapel of Los Blázquez.

To enjoy panoramic views of the old quarter of Cáceres, climb the spiral staircase to the Bell Tower.
