We will begin this Provençal rural experience at the Les Pastras de Cadenet farm at the designated time.

The tour includes a visit to a genuine Provençal truffle plantation within the Luberon Regional Natural Park. Participants will observe truffle dogs searching for the prized black mushrooms known for their value in gastronomy.

While walking with the dogs in pursuit of "black gold," you will learn to differentiate the Provençal variety, Tuber melanosporum, from other Asian truffle types. The history of smugglers in the truffle trade will also be discussed.

The tour will provide tips on the appropriate cleaning, storage, and cooking techniques for truffles. Properly handled, these mushrooms can enhance various recipes with their unique flavor.

We will conclude this 3-hour rural tour with a tasting of truffle hors d'oeuvres paired with organic truffle oil. You can also choose to enjoy these treats with a Provençal champagne.
