The tour begins at the scheduled time at Les Pastras de Cadenet farm. We will visit a genuine Provençal truffle plantation within the Luberon Regional Natural Park. Throughout the experience, you will observe truffle dogs expertly hunting for the highly sought-after black mushrooms.
As we walk with the dogs in search of "black gold", we will learn to identify the Provençal variety, Tuber melanosporum, compared to other Asian truffle species. The tour will include insights into the history of smugglers associated with these high-value fungi.
Participants will receive guidance on the best practices for cleaning, storage, and cooking truffles, ensuring these mushrooms can be transformed into gourmet dishes. Together, we will explore these culinary delights.
