The castle features a blend of royal opulence and military character. As you navigate the site, you'll see grand fireplaces, intricate decorations, tapestries, and vibrant ceilings. You will also learn about the Gascony cadets, forerunners of the Musketeers. The fortress served as a women's prison from the 19th century until 1950, with the ability to explore these prison spaces.

Ducal Castle of Cadillac welcomes visitors during the following hours:
October 2 to May 28: Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 12:30 pm, and 2 pm to 5:30 pmMay 29 to October 1: Monday to Sunday, 10 am to 1:15 pm, and 2 pm to 6 pm
Last entry is 45 minutes before closing. On December 24 and 31, closing time is 4 pm. Operating hours are subject to change.
