Barumini and Giara di Gesturi Trip
At 9am, we'll meet in Yenne Piazza in Cagliari. After just over 1 hour, we'll reach Giara di Gesturi, a plateau in the centre of the island, where we will look out at a Mediterranean landscape housing the wild horses, a symbol of Sardinia.
You will have free time for lunch, after which we'll proceed to Barumini, Sardinia's most important archaeological site known for its labyrinthine appearance. This village dates back to the year 1400 BC and is rich in history from the Nuragic civilization.
The next stop is the Casa Zapata Museum, a late 16th-century building that contains a significant collection of archaeological remains from the Nuragic era.
We will return to Cagliari and arrive back at the starting point at 4 pm.
