Immerse yourself in the historical significance of Sardinia by exploring the ancient archeological site of Nora. This excursion is an excellent addition to your visit to Cagliari.
Activity Details
Your journey begins at Largo Carlo Felice in Cagliari, where we will meet at the designated time before heading to the nearby town of Pula. This charming resort is home to one of the island's key archeological locations: the ruins of Nora.
After approximately 45 minutes of travel, we will enter the site to explore the rich history left by the Phoenicians and Romans. You will learn about Nora's significance as a major trading hub during the Phoenician era. Highlights include the well-preserved Roman baths, the amphitheater, and the exquisite mosaic-covered structures.
Following our exploration of Nora, we will make our way back to Cagliari. On our return, a stop at the stunning Santa Gilla lagoon offers a chance to appreciate its remarkable biodiversity—keep your eyes peeled for flamingos if you're fortunate!
Once we return to the Sardinian capital, we will embark on a short panoramic bus tour. During this segment, we will visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Bonaria and stop at the scenic viewpoint of Mount Urpinu for breathtaking views to capture on camera.
This archaeological journey will conclude after approximately 4 hours.
