At dawn, we will collect you from your accommodation in Cairns. Your journey begins as we transport you to a scenic area where the hot air balloon awaits your arrival. The duration of your flight will be around one hour.

Upon arrival, you'll witness the fascinating process of balloon inflation before we board the basket for this thrilling sky adventure.

Slowly, we will ascend into the sky as the sun rises, offering a truly enchanting experience!

From this elevated perspective, you'll be treated to stunning views of the Atherton Plateau, with its majestic mountains enveloped by lush jungles. Have your cameras ready to capture this breathtaking scenery.

After approximately 40 minutes of soaring above the Cairns landscape, we will begin our descent and return you to your hotel.

Hot Air Balloon + Funicular and Scenic Train Ride

For those seeking a more comprehensive adventure, consider our option that incorporates a funicular and scenic train ride.

Following your balloon experience, we will proceed to the Skyrail station. Here, you will board a funicular that transports you high above the rainforest, offering spectacular panoramic views over Cairns and the Kuranda Ranges—a mesmerizing journey through the treetops!

After this, we will stroll through the forest to the next funicular at the Red Peak stop, ultimately arriving at the Barron Falls station, where you can explore the interpretation centre.

Your journey continues to the town of Kuranda and its vibrant markets. You will enjoy leisure time to wander this charming town, with options to visit the Butterfly Sanctuary, the Venom Zoo, or take a scenic boat ride on the Kuranda River—the choice is yours!

Next, board the panoramic train, which follows the historic mining railway along the Macalistar Range. Over the 1.5-hour trip, you will marvel at Barron Falls and travel across multiple bridges that weave through mountains and waterfalls. Prepare those cameras!

At the conclusion of the train ride at Cairns Central Station, your adventure will come to an end as we say goodbye after an extensive 12-hour journey.
