Early in the morning, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cairns and take you to a clearing for the hot air balloon ride, which lasts approximately one hour.

Upon arrival, we'll witness the balloons being inflated before climbing into the basket for the exciting aerial adventure.

As we ascend, we'll watch the sun rise, experiencing a magical moment. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Atherton Plateau and surrounding mountains. Be prepared to capture this moment.

After approximately 40 minutes of flight over the Cairns area, we'll descend and return you to your hotel.

Hot Air Balloon + Funicular and Panoramic Train Ride

For an enhanced experience, consider this option that includes a funicular and panoramic train ride. After the balloon ride, we will head to the Skyrail station and board a funicular that offers stunning views over the rainforest and Kuranda Ranges.

Next, we'll walk through the forest to the second funicular at the Red Peak stop, reaching the Barron Falls station to visit the interpretation centre.

We will then travel to the town of Kuranda, where you'll have free time to explore local attractions like the Butterfly Sanctuary or take a boat ride on the Kuranda River.

After exploring, we’ll take the panoramic train along the mining railway line down the Macalister Range. This 1.5-hour journey includes views of Barron Falls and various bridges among the mountains. At the end, we'll arrive at Cairns Central Station, concluding a total of 12 hours.
