Outback & Chillagoe Day Trip

Between 6:45 and 7 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cairns in an air-conditioned minibus to start exploring the vast Australian Outback.

Our first stop will be at a local coffee shop for coffee or tea. We'll then visit the Chillagoe-Mungana Caves to explore breathtaking limestone labyrinths and the fossilized remains of an ancient coral reef from 400 million years ago.

Next, we'll head to the Chillagoe smelter ruins to learn about the local history of copper smelting and see the old chimneys that dominate the landscape.

For lunch, we will stop at one of Australia's oldest pubs, serving a variety of dishes including burgers and local specialties.

After lunch, we'll visit the Aboriginal Art Rock to view impressive rock paintings, with a stop at Equilibrium Rock for photography opportunities.

The final destination will be Granite Gorge Nature Park, where you'll meet wallabies and enjoy the beautiful scenery. After an unforgettable day, we will return to your hotel in Cairns between 6:45 pm and 7 pm.
