On this tour we'll explore the historic centre of Cairo, touring its must-see locations: the Cairo Citadel, the Mohamed Ali Mosque, the Khan el-Khalili market, and the Egyptian Museum, where the tomb of Tutankhamun can be found.

Tour Details

We will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza and proceed to the historic centre. Our first stop is the Cairo Citadel, an enormous medieval fortress. Inside, we will visit the Mohamed Ali Mosque, known as the alabaster mosque.

Next, we will head to the Khan el-Khalili market, the most famous in Cairo, where you can buy souvenirs and reproductions of ancient Egyptian objects. After visiting the market, we will stop to eat, with a menu including salads, a main course with rice and vegetables, and a fruit salad for dessert.

In the afternoon, we will spend about an hour and a half at the Egyptian Museum, housing significant artifacts, including more than 200 pieces from the treasures of Tutankhamun, such as the golden funerary mask.

We will also pass through Coptic Cairo to visit Al-Muallaqa (the hanging church) and the church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus, known as the cave church. This unforgettable sightseeing experience will conclude at your hotel after approximately 8 hours since pickup.
