Day Trip to Petra by Plane

Travel to Jordan by plane and explore the remains of Petra, the ancient capital of the Nabataeans, a significant archaeological site.

Itinerary

After hotel pickup in Cairo, you will proceed to the international airport to take a plane to Amman. Upon arriving at the Jordanian terminal, a bus will take you to the Petra archaeological site, where an English-speaking guide will lead a tour. The tour includes highlights such as Al-Khazneh or 'The Treasury', a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Next, the tour will cover the tombs of Petra, showcasing the site as a valuable historical location in the Middle East, notably recognized from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and 'Transformers'.

The tour will conclude with lunch in Petra. Afterward, you will return to Amman for the flight back to Cairo and then head to your hotel by bus.

Extra Day in Aman

You can enhance your experience by adding another day in Aman. After lunch in Petra, you will be taken to a central hotel in Amman for overnight stay. The following day will include breakfast at the hotel and a guided tour of central Aman, focusing on key monuments like the Roman theatre and the Citadel.

Upon completing the tour, you will proceed to the Jordanian airport for your flight to Cairo, followed by transportation to your hotel in the Egyptian capital.

Important Information

A valid passport is required to travel to Jordan. At the Jordan airport, relevant arrival and departure fees must be paid, totaling approximately 60 US dollars.
