Day Trip to Petra by Plane

Travel to Jordan by plane and discover the remains of Petra, the ancient capital of the Nabataeans.

Itinerary

After being picked up at your hotel in Cairo, you will travel to the international airport to take a plane to Amman. Upon arrival in Jordan, a bus will take you to the Petra archaeological site. You will have a guided tour led by an English-speaking guide, visiting significant monuments like Al-Khazneh or 'The Treasury,' a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The tour continues with visits to the tombs of Petra, showcasing this necropolis as a notable historical site in the Middle East. The site has been featured in films such as Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and 'Transformers.'

After completing the tour, you will have lunch in Petra before returning to Amman for your flight back to Cairo, followed by transportation to your hotel.

Extra Day in Aman

You can enhance your experience with an additional day in Aman. After lunch in Petra, you will be taken to a central hotel in Amman for an overnight stay. The next day includes breakfast at the hotel and a guided tour of central Aman, featuring major sights such as the Roman theatre and the Citadel.

Once the tour in Aman is finished, you will head to the Jordanian airport for your flight to Cairo and then to your hotel in the Egyptian capital.

To travel to Jordan, you must have a valid passport. Please note that arrival and departure fees at the Jordan airport total approximately 60 US dollars.
