Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel in Cairo, followed by a two-hour drive to the desert region of Wadi El Natrun.

The first stop is the Monastery of Saint Pishoy. Here, standing before the striking white domes against the backdrop of red desert, you will delve into the history of the saint who established this abbey. We'll explore why certain historical aspects related to this site may have been intentionally obscured.

Next, we will visit the Monastery of Saint Mary Deipara, also known as the Syrian monastery, affiliated with the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria. Inside, you will witness a wealth of visual artifacts, including beautiful frescoes adorning the ceilings.

Our tour will then take us to Deir Baramos, or "the monastery of the Romans". During this visit, we’ll uncover the stories of the founders, princes Maximus and Domitius, who established this sacred site.

Following Deir Baramos, we will proceed to El Alamein, an Egyptian coastal town pivotal in World War II. Here, we will explore the Military Museum, showcasing a collection of tanks and weaponry from the conflict. We will also visit the War Cemetery, honoring the soldiers who sacrificed their lives.

After a brief break to refresh and grab a bite, we’ll make our way back to Cairo, concluding the trip with a return to your hotel.

How does it work?

You will be picked up from your hotel and transported to Wadi El Natrun to visit the monasteries. Following these visits, you will head to El Alamein to explore the Military Museum and the War Cemetery. The trip includes transportation, a knowledgeable guide, and entry fees to the sites visited.
