History of the Building

The project began in the 1990s, with construction starting in the early 2000s. On November 1, 2025, all rooms were opened to the public.

What Will The Tour Be Like?

During booking, you can choose transport and admission only or a complete option that includes a guide.

Tour Details

At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel in Cairo or Giza and travel to GEM in a comfortable vehicle. After arriving, a 2-hour tour around the museum will commence. Following the tour, we will return you to your hotel, with arrival expected between 3 and 4 hours after pickup.

What Will We See During the Visit?

The guided tour begins with the hanging obelisk outside the building. Inside, notable features include the Grand Hall with a 12-meter statue of Pharaoh Ramesses II, various statues, and the Grand Staircase. The permanent exhibition galleries house the complete collection from Tutankhamun's treasure chamber and the solar boat of Cheops. The tour concludes in the shopping gallery for souvenirs.
