Pyramids of Giza, Memphis and Saqqara

Fall in love with Egypt on this excursion to the Giza pyramids, Saqqara necropolis, and Memphis, once the capital of the country. Our Egyptology expert will guide you through the history of the pharaohs.

Pyramids of Giza, Memphis and Saqqara Itinerary

We'll pick you up from your hotel in the morning and head towards Giza, located 20 kilometers from Cairo.

Upon arrival, you will have three hours to see the Sphinx and the three largest pyramids: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure.

At lunchtime, we will enjoy a typical menu that includes grilled chicken kebabs with vegetables, hummus, tahini, Arabic bread, sweet pastries, and a fruit salad.

After lunch, we will visit the Saqqara necropolis, an important site in ancient Egyptian history, where you can see the pyramid of Djoser, the first of Egypt's great pyramids.

In Saqqara, we will also visit the tomb of vizier Mehu, recently opened to the public, which has well-preserved hieroglyphs due to its protected location.

Our final stop will be Memphis, the ancient capital, featuring monuments such as the 83-ton, 11-meter-tall sculpture of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx.

The tour concludes back at your hotel after 8 hours.

Inside the Pyramids

If you choose to enter the pyramids, you can visit the Khafra and Menkaure pyramids for 300 EGP or the Great Pyramid for 900 EGP. You may purchase tickets in cash at the ticket offices outside the complex on the day of the tour. Let the guide know, and they will assist you.
