Pyramids of Giza, Memphis and Saqqara

Fall in love with Egypt on this excursion to the Giza pyramids, the Saqqara necropolis, and Memphis, once the capital of the country. Our Egyptology expert will take you back almost 5,000 years to the land of the pharaohs.

Pyramids of Giza, Memphis and Saqqara Itinerary

We'll pick you up from your hotel first thing in the morning, heading towards Giza, located 20 kilometers from Cairo.

Once there, we will spend three hours visiting the Sphinx and the three largest pyramids: those of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure.

For lunch, we will enjoy a typical menu that includes grilled chicken kebabs, vegetables, hummus, tahini, Arabic bread, sweet pastries, and fruit salad.

In the afternoon, we will continue to the Saqqara necropolis, where you can see the pyramid of Djoser, the first of Egypt's great pyramids. We will also visit the recently opened tomb of vizier Mehu, known for its well-preserved hieroglyphs.

Our final stop will be Memphis, the old capital of Egypt, featuring the 83-ton, 11-meter-tall sculpture of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx. The tour concludes back at your hotel after 8 hours.

Inside the Pyramids

If you're interested, you can enter the pyramids. You may choose to visit the Khafra and Menkaure pyramids for 300 EGP, or the Great Pyramid for 900 EGP. Due to time constraints, visiting all three will not be possible. Tickets can be purchased in cash on the day of the tour at ticket offices outside the complex, with assistance from the guide available.
