Cajamarca Private Tours

When booking, you can choose between two private tours of Cajamarca. Both tours include hotel pickup and drop-off and an English-speaking guide.

Tour of Cajamarca (3.5 hours)

We'll start our guided tour of Cajamarca at the Plaza de Armas, where the Cathedral of Santa Catalina and the Church of San Francisco stand. We'll admire their facades carved in volcanic rock and discover interesting stories about the city.

From here, we'll walk through the main streets of Cajamarca to iconic places such as the church of Belén or the Cuarto del Rescate, where Fernando Pizarro kept a prisoner. We'll also visit the viewpoint on the hill of Santa Apolonia, where the famous Silla del Inca is located.

Cajamarca Valley Tour (5 hours)

In this private tour we'll explore the valley of Cajamarca. We'll start at Qhapac Ñan, making a stop at the Inca's walk. From here we'll approach the caves of Callacpuma and the lagoon of Salluscocha and Los Sapitos.

We will also visit Coyor hill, home to a pre-Inca citadel of the Caxamarca culture. Finally, we'll stop at a workshop where handmade hats and guitars are crafted.
