Tour of Porcón Farm and Huambocancha

Your journey begins with a pickup at 9:30 am from your accommodation in Cajamarca, initiating a deep dive into the cultural heritage of northern Peru.

Your first stop will be the artisanal workshops in Huambocancha, where skilled stone artisans showcase their marble and granite sculptures. Marvel at their incredible craftsmanship and enormous creations, some visible from considerable distances, while gaining insights into their artistic processes.

The next destination is the Porcón farm, an agrotourism destination nestled within the largest forest park in the country. Spanning nearly 13,000 hectares, this preserved woodland is home to diverse wildlife. Observe various native species, including monkeys, vicuñas, and deer, as you navigate through the lush landscapes.

You will also experience the daily life of the local farmers, who engage in both agricultural and livestock endeavors. The residents of the Porcón farm are known for their dairy production and handcrafted goods, while adhering to their time-honored traditions.

Furthermore, the farm hosts a mini zoo featuring Andean bears along with other wildlife like jaguars and pumas. Visitors will gain an understanding of the estate's agricultural activities, including a tour of the trout farms.

Your enriching experience will conclude with a return to your hotel in Cajamarca by 1 pm.
