We'll pick you up from your hotel in Calama to begin the tour. Our first stop will be Pique Chela, a spa established in the 19th century, previously considered part of Bolivia.

Next, at around noon, we'll reach Pampa Union town, founded in 1911 for salt mining, where a sanatorium was built for workers' care.

Our journey continues to the ghost town of Chacabuco. Here, we will walk through the deserted streets and discuss its history as a salt and saltpeter mining town, notably marked by the Chacabuco Saltpeter Office.

Chacabuco was home to approximately 5,000 residents, leading to the creation of communal facilities including a theater, hotel, school, market, gym, and football fields.

After exploring Chacabuco, we will return you to your hotel in Calama, completing the tour in approximately 8 hours.
