We'll start with a pickup from your hotel in Calama for the tour to Chacabuco. The first stop will be at Pique Chela, a spa developed for local families around the end of the 19th century, then part of Bolivian territory.

By noon, we'll reach Pampa Union town, established in 1911 as a settlement for salt mining. This town emerged due to the construction of a sanatorium for workers from the salt mines.

Next, we will continue to the ghost town of Chacabuco. Here, we will walk through the deserted streets and delve into the town's history, which was significant for both salt and saltpeter mining, with the Chacabuco Saltpeter Office being notable.

At its peak, the village housed up to 5,000 inhabitants, leading to the creation of a theater, hotel, school, market, and facilities like a gym and football fields for the residents.

After exploring the Chacabuco ghost town, we will return you to your hotel in Calama, completing the tour in approximately 8 hours.
