We'll pick you up from your hotel in Calama to begin the tour of the Chacabuco ghost town. A brief stop will be made at Pique Chela, a spa built in the Atacama Desert for local families in the late 19th century, previously considered Bolivian territory.

At around noon, we will arrive at Pampa Union town, founded in 1911 for salt mining and established alongside a sanatorium for sick workers. Next, we will head to the ghost town of Chacabuco. There, we will walk through the empty streets while discussing the town's history, which was primarily focused on salt and saltpeter mining, highlighted by the significant Chacabuco Saltpeter Office.

At its peak, the town housed up to 5,000 inhabitants, leading to the construction of a theater, hotel, school, market, and facilities such as a gym and football fields.

After exploring Chacabuco, we will return you to your hotel in Calama, completing the tour in approximately 8 hours.
