At 8:30 am, our team will pick you up from your hotel in Calama, marking the beginning of this journey to Chiu Chiu and the Poruña Volcano. The first stop is the Conchi Viaduct, also known as the Loa River Viaduct, which holds historical significance as an early railroad route from Antofagasta to Bolivia.

Continuing towards Poruña Volcano, enjoy a 3-kilometer (1.8-mile) hike around the smallest crater in South America. Take in the inspiring views of the Andes Mountains.

In the Lasana Valley, located in the canyon of the Loa River, see the remnants of some of the region's earliest human settlements focused on agriculture and livestock.

By 1:30 pm, arrive at San Francisco de Chiu Chiu, where you will have one hour for lunch on your own. Afterward, explore the historic streets of the town, known as Atacama Chica, and visit its significant monuments, including the oldest church in Chile, the San Francisco Church.

At 3 pm, begin the return journey to Calama, concluding with your drop-off at your hotel seven hours later.
