Córdoba, Buenavista & Pijao Day Trip

At 9 am, we'll meet at Parque Principal de Calarcá. We'll climb into an all-terrain vehicle and head southbound for the Colombian coffee-growing axis, one of the country's prominent cultural and geographic regions.

From the jeep, we'll see numerous plantations, including fields of banana, avocado, citrus trees, and lots of coffee.

After a 40-minute drive, our first stop will be Buenavista, a traditional village. We'll visit the town's famous viewpoint and enjoy a coffee while exploring the historic centre, including the Plaza de Bolívar and the church.

Next, we'll visit Córdoba, a small village in the Colombian coffee-growing axis, where we'll discuss its evolution since its founding in the early 20th century and enjoy another coffee.

We'll then head to Pijao, known as the unhurried village, and learn about its unique nickname as we stroll through the streets.

For lunch, we'll enjoy traditional Colombian sancocho (a type of broth), sausages, beans, and a drink, served in either Pijao or Córdoba, depending on the day.

After lunch, we'll return to the vehicle and head back to the starting point, concluding the excursion.
