Our adventure begins at 9 am at Parque Principal de Calarcá. From here, we embark in an all-terrain vehicle heading south towards the renowned Coffee Cultural Landscape, a prominent region in Colombia known for its rich heritage and picturesque scenery.

As we journey, be captivated by the sights of extensive plantations that define this area. Witness fields filled with banana, avocado, citrus trees, and of course, vast stretches of coffee crops!

After a 40-minute scenic drive, our first destination will be Buenavista, a quaint village in the heart of Quindío. Translated as 'good view,' this name perfectly encapsulates the breathtaking panoramas visible from this township, particularly from its renowned viewpoint. There, we will enjoy a cup of coffee while meandering through its historic centre, taking time to admire the Plaza de Bolívar and the local church.

Our next stop is Córdoba, a small settlement enveloped by vibrant coffee cultivation. We will delve into the town's evolution since its establishment at the turn of the 20th century, pausing once again for another coffee break.

We will then continue to Pijao, recognized as the tranquil village. During our stroll through its streets, we'll uncover the story behind this intriguing nickname!

If you start to feel hungry, a traditional lunch awaits, featuring local specialties such as sancocho (a flavorful broth), sausages, beans, and a beverage. Depending on the day, we will enjoy this meal in either Córdoba or Pijao.

Following lunch, we will return to our vehicle and make our way back to the original meeting point, where our excursion will conclude.
