This free tour of Calgary will take you through the historic center and the main points of interest in Alberta's largest city, situated east of the Rocky Mountains.
Description
We will start this free tour of Calgary from the foot of the Edison at the scheduled time. The tour will begin with a brief introduction to Calgary, followed by a stroll along Stephen Avenue, where we will discover popular restaurants and shops along the boulevard.
Next, we will head into Downtown Calgary, passing by key landmarks such as Olympic Plaza and visiting the Central Library, recognized as a significant cultural site. We will also learn about the history of King Eddy, famous for live music.
The tour will proceed to the East Village district, along the Bow River, where we will observe Fort Calgary and discuss the events associated with this important stronghold. The free tour will conclude after 3 hours, returning to the meeting point.
