Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Plazoleta Jairo Varela to start our free salsa tour of Cali. We will explore the vibrant streets of Cali and discuss the history of Salsa in Colombia, including its origins and evolution.
We will stop to admire recent murals, which provide a historical and artistic journey. Salsa music represents an African emancipation movement in Colombia. Despite its origins, the rhythm is joyful.
We'll learn how salsa and street art have influenced Cali's identity since the 60s and their nationwide spread. The murals depict salsa icons, and we'll discuss the political and social activism associated with this art form.
Finally, we will conclude the tour 3 hours after the start of the activity.
