Day Trip Details
We'll meet at the designated time at the Hotel Intercontinental, where we'll set off south. During the journey, we'll stop at a traditional bakery for a light breakfast.
We will arrive at the Puente de Amarillo de La Vorágine, where a kit with fruit, snacks, and a hydrating drink will be provided for the hiking route. We'll begin our 5.59 mi (9 km) hiking route toward the El Topacio Environmental Center, crossing the Farallones de Cali National Nature Park.
As we advance, you'll see rock formations, tropical forests, and moors. There will be stops to take pictures, observe fauna, and discover flora. You'll hear the Pance and Anchicayá rivers and the Farallones waterfalls.
Upon reaching El Topacio, we'll rest and receive an educational lecture about the park's history and conservation efforts. You'll learn how the Farallones were considered sacred by ancestral Indigenous villages.
After this visit, we'll start our journey back and, weather permitting, will swim in the Quebrada La Nevera. The cool water will provide a refreshing dip post-hike.
Finally, we'll return to Cali, concluding the trip at the meeting point after 4 to 6 hours.
