You'll discover the true charm of Callao with this food tour, where you'll also learn to dance salsa.

Food Tour and Salsa Class

We'll meet at the Plaza de la Independencia at 9 am to begin our gastronomic tour of Callao, the most important port city in South America during the viceregal era.

Firstly, we'll visit the Rovira restaurant to try a snack of bread and traditional pejerrey, a typical fish from the region. Fish in this area is a primary ingredient for many South Pacific dishes.

Afterwards, we'll board a boat for a tour of the port of Callao. We'll enjoy views from the boat and see the historical fortress of Real Felipe before reaching the neighbourhood of Chucuito.

Upon disembarking, we'll visit the Mirador de la Rivera restaurant, where the owners will demonstrate the ingredients used for their dishes, including ceviche chalaco. You will learn to prepare it, gaining gastronomic techniques to replicate at home.

After the demonstration, we'll take a break for a seafood lunch.

We will conclude the tour with a salsa class accompanied by live music. The trip will end as we return you to the original meeting point at 2 pm.
