This journey through Santiago de Surco invites you to explore one of Lima's most affluent districts, where a delightful shopping experience awaits at the prestigious Jockey Plaza shopping mall.

Explore Santiago de Surco

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Callao. We'll then travel southward to Santiago de Surco, nestled between Miraflores and Barranco. Originally a quaint village, this area has transformed significantly over the years.

Today, it proudly holds the title of a 'garden district', known for its expansive green spaces and upscale residential developments. Moreover, this neighborhood boasts some of the highest real estate values across the Peruvian capital.

Our first stop will be the historic center of Santiago de Surco, where you'll learn about its origins and development into an independent district in 1929. After this insight, we shall proceed through the industrial zone of the neighboring Villa El Salvador, leading us to the renowned Jockey Plaza shopping mall, the largest in Lima.

Here, you'll have leisure time to browse through an array of exclusive boutiques. Following this, we will board Lima's subway towards the Culture Station. Upon arrival, we will take a moment to appreciate the stunning architecture of the Grand Theater and the National Library of Lima, showcasing the fascinating interplay between historical and contemporary design.

Finally, our bus will be waiting to return us to Callao, completing the experience and dropping you off at your hotel approximately five and a half hours from the start of our tour.
