You'll learn about Lima's current culture and the social projects that help local families on this tour of Villa El Salvador from Callao.
Villa El Salvador Tour
At 9 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Callao to head towards the south of Lima, specifically to the outskirts of the capital.
We'll arrive at Villa El Salvador, one of the largest and most populated areas in Lima, where different ethnic groups such as Quechua, Aymara, Amazonian, and Afro-descendants coexist.
This district has a high population density and low incomes, leading the Peruvian government to launch several projects aimed to develop the social and economic conditions of Villa El Salvador. The tour will cover these initiatives.
We will visit a restaurant owned by a community resident, where meals are prepared at low prices for local workers. We'll also explore the vibrant street art on various facades within the district.
Next, we'll see the Wood and Home Furnishings Center, which provides handcrafted products at affordable prices for low-income families.
Our next stop will be a traditional handicraft store, where decorative pieces are available, ideal for buying a souvenir of your Villa El Salvador tour.
Finally, we will return to your hotel while you enjoy the countryside of the Lurin Valley and views of the Pacific Ocean from the bus.
Between 3:30 and 4 pm, we will drop you off at your hotel in Callao.
