Our snowshoe hike in the Picos de Europa offers three routes, starting from the lower station of the Fuente Dé Cable Car. Each tour includes snowshoe and pole hire, an English-speaking guide, and return cable car tickets. Duration ranges from 4 to 7 hours, depending on the selected tour.
Lloroza Lakes Tour (4 hours)
This tour begins at Fuente Dé's highest station. It features a circular route through the Jenduda Channel and the Lloroza Lakes, with views of the Áliva Valley. Upon completion, participants will return via the cable car.
Required physical fitness level: average.
Cabaña Verónica Tour (6 hours)
Starting at the upper station, this well-known route leads to Cabaña Verónica, crossing the Lloroza Lakes and Vueltona. The hike includes insights about the highest mountain lodge in Spain and culminates with a visit to the pass of Horcados Rojos for scenic views before returning.
Required physical fitness level: good.
La Padiorna Tour (7 hours)
This route begins at the highest station and includes a visit to the Lloroza Lakes, followed by the Canal de San Luis to the Colladina de las Nieves. The hike concludes at the chasm of La Padiorna, allowing for rest and viewing key locations in the Picos de Europa National Park before returning by cable car.
Required physical fitness level: good. Previous snowshoeing experience is necessary.
