Get in touch with the more rural side of Brazil on this excursion to Fazenda da Esperança. We'll visit a farm founded in 1842 and check out the regional flora and fauna.

Fazenda Esperança Excursion

At 10 am we'll pick you up at your hotel in Monte Verde. From there, we'll hop in a 4x4 vehicle and head north to Fazenda da Esperança, a more than 100-year-old farm about an hour away.

Located in Jaguary de Cima on the outskirts of Monte Verde, Fazenda da Esperança offers an opportunity to explore the typical flora and fauna of the state of Minas Gerais. At the farm, we'll also learn about traditional activities linked to rural life.

Upon arrival, we'll begin a guided tour of the farm's facilities and learn about its history dating back to 1842, along with insights about the family running this business for five generations.

During the tour, we'll see various birds and may spot anteaters, deer, and maned wolves. Information about the animals will be provided as we proceed.

We'll also discuss the process of making dulce de leche at the farm, with a tasting included. For further regional culinary experiences, you can visit the Fazenda Esperança restaurant for lunch on your own.

After two hours at the farm, we'll conclude the tour at 2 pm and return you to your hotel in Monte Verde.
