Fazenda Esperança Excursion

Get in touch with the more rural side of Brazil on this excursion to Fazenda da Esperança. We'll visit a farm founded in 1842 and check out the regional flora and fauna.

Fazenda Esperança Excursion

At 10 am we'll pick you up at your hotel in Monte Verde. From there, we'll hop in a 4x4 vehicle and head north to Fazenda da Esperança, a farm about an hour away.

Located in Jaguary de Cima, Fazenda da Esperança is an ideal place to explore the flora and fauna of Minas Gerais. We will learn about traditional activities linked to life in the countryside.

Upon arrival, we will begin a guided tour of the farm's facilities, learning about its history from 1842 and the family managing it for five generations.

During the farm tour, we will observe various birds and, with luck, animals like anteaters, deer, and maned wolves. We will provide insights about these animals.

We will also learn about the process of making dulce de leche on the farm and have the opportunity to taste some. For those interested in regional gastronomy, the Fazenda Esperança restaurant is available for lunch at your own expense.

After two hours at the farm, we will conclude the tour at 2 pm and drop you off at your hotel in Monte Verde.
