Join this guided walking tour around MIT and discover one of the most prestigious universities in the world, known for training astronauts and contributing to the first moon landing.
MIT Walking Tour
We'll meet at Main Street at your selected time, starting the walk around the MIT campus. Our first stop will be at Stata Centre, which includes the Gates and Dreyfoos Buildings. Next, we will proceed to the Green Building, the tallest structure on campus and in Cambridge, housing the Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences departments. Several notable innovators have studied at MIT, including Tim Berners-Lee, William Hewlett, and Alfred P. Sloan.
The tour will continue to The Great Dome, an important site on campus, where we will learn about MIT's student traditions. We will also walk along Massachusetts Avenue to Harvard Bridge, the longest bridge crossing the Charles River. Additionally, we will see Lobby 7, leading to the Infinite Corridor, which is 800 ft (251 metres) long and serves as a main entrance to the campus. The tour will conclude after 1 hour and 10 minutes.
