Enjoy the most iconic experience in Cambridge, punting along the River Cam. You'll see emblematic university buildings, famous bridges and so much more!
Tour Description
The most emblematic tourist attraction in Cambridge is the experience of punting along the river. It is similar to a gondola ride in Venice, where the person rowing stands at the back of the boat. This task can be challenging, so an expert punter guides the tour for a relaxing experience. This panoramic tour lasts approximately 45 minutes. As you sail down the River Cam, you will see King's College Chapel, dating back to the 15th century, and Wren Library, Trinity College's renowned library. The tour includes views of the beautiful Clare College gardens.
During the journey, you'll pass under many bridges, including the Mathematical Bridge, which was once thought to be designed by Isaac Newton. You will also cruise beneath the impressive Bridge of Sighs, a covered bridge connecting two parts of Saint John's College.
After sailing along the river for a total of 45 minutes, the punter will return you to the starting jetty.
