Edzná Tour + Haciendas Visit

We'll learn about the culture of the Mayas in this tour to Edzná and its typical haciendas located in the surroundings of this enclave of the Yucatán.

After picking you up at 8 am at your hotel in San Francisco de Campeche, we'll head over to Uayamón Hacienda for breakfast. Then, we'll drive to Edzná, a significant Mayan site in the Yucatán peninsula.

Upon arrival at this archaeological site, we'll begin a guided tour of Edzná. Founded in 600 BC, this ancient city has remained largely intact for nearly 1800 years. We will explore its main structures, particularly the temple of the Five Storeys.

Our tour will also include a visit to the temple of the Casa Grande or Nohoch Ná and the location of the 'Ball Game', a popular pre-Columbian sport.

Following our visit to Edzná, we will explore the Hobomó, Seyba, and San Luis Carpizo Haciendas. These traditional Mexican farms provide insight into rural life, customs, and local Yucatecan folklore.

We will then proceed to Champotón, where you'll have some free time for lunch if you choose.

After lunch, you will return to your hotel in Campeche, arriving by 3 pm.
