This excursion from San Francisco de Campeche will explore the Uxmal archaeological site, a significant Mayan location in the Yucatan.

Uxmal Tour

Pickup will occur at 8 am at the Ocean View Hotel. Following that, we will travel to Puuc, an area recognized for its substantial pre-Columbian archaeological sites.

After a 2-hour drive, we will arrive at the ancient Mayan city of Uxmal. This archaeological site, recognized as a World Heritage Site, features a monumental complex with various temples and step pyramids.

The guided tour will commence at the Pyramid of the Magician. Visitors will learn about a notable ancient legend associated with this 5-level step pyramid.

The tour will continue to the Quadrangle of the Nuns, a distinctive rectangular structure that holds numerous secrets. The next stops will include the remnants of the Governor's Palace and the Ball Game field, which was a prominent sport in pre-Columbian culture.

Upon concluding the visit to Uxmal, the group will return to Campeche, arriving at approximately 2:30 pm.
