If you want to learn all about the fascinating culture and nature of the Yucatán Peninsula, our Chichén Itzá, Coba & Ik Kil Cenote Day Trip is perfect for you. We'll venture deep into the jungle to explore two of the most important archaeological sites as well as an incredible cenote.
Description
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and set off on our day trip, starting with Chichén Itza.
Our day will begin with a guided tour of the Chichén Itzá archaeological site, the most significant vestige of the Mayan civilization. This site has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and was selected as one of the New 7 Wonders of the World in 2007.
We'll share legends and facts while we pass by the Temple of Kukulcán, Temple of the Warriors, Platform of Venus, and Great Ball Court. You'll have 1 hour of free time to explore Chichén Itzá.
Next, we will visit the Ik Kil cenote, known for its turquoise water, where you'll spend 45 minutes swimming. A buffet lunch will be provided overlooking the cenote, which was sacred to the Mayans.
After lunch, we will tour the ancient Mayan city of Coba and learn about its history. We'll walk around the ruins and observe the Nohoch Mul, the tallest Mayan pyramid in Yucatan.
Finally, we will return to your hotel after a total of 10 hours.
