Visit two important Mayan archaeological sites in Mexico on our Chichén Itzá & Ek Balam Day Trip. We'll explore the history of these iconic places on our excursion.
Chichén Itzá & Ek Balam Day Trip
After picking you up from your hotel, we'll head to the inland part of the Yucatán Peninsula to visit Chichén Itzá.
Upon arrival, we will view the Temple of Kukulcán, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. The site includes the Great Ball Court, the Venus Temple, and the Temple of the Warriors, where we’ll learn about the astronomical guidance used by the Itzaes for decision-making.
Next, we'll visit the Hubiku Cenote, a 200-foot (60-meter) deep well of crystal clear water, where you can take a swim. A Yucatecan lunch will be provided, and you can also explore the tequila museum located here.
Our next destination will be the Mayan city of Ek Balam, dating back to 300 BC. We'll inspect the Entrance Arch, the ceremonial centre, the Oval Palace, and the Ballcourt, all in excellent condition.
We'll also view the tomb of Ukit Kan Le'k Tok' and learn about the history behind its two pyramids.
After 12 hours of culture and history, we'll return and conclude the tour.
