Become a real marine explorer with this diving introduction in Cancun. We'll discover the biodiversity of species that inhabit the Caribbean Sea.

Activity Details

We'll meet at the indicated time at Hotel Sotavento in the hotel area in Cancun to learn the simplest techniques of scuba diving in order to dive in the open sea.

First, we'll have a one-hour theory lesson with audio-visual content to learn the basic principles of diving. Then we'll go into confined waters for a one-hour practical lesson in which we'll learn how to breathe with the regulator and some tricks of the underwater language for communication.

Afterward, we'll set sail for Manchones Reef, a 12 kilometre (7.5 mile) stretch of coral and tropical fish. During the two dives, we'll go down to a depth of 10 metres (32 feet), exploring the marine biodiversity. We might see some turtles and manta rays as we swim along the seabed. Additionally, we'll visit the MUSA Underwater Museum.

After this experience, we'll conclude the diving introduction and return to the starting point after 5 hours of diving.
