Become a real marine explorer with this diving introduction in Cancun. We'll discover the biodiversity of species that inhabit the Caribbean Sea.
Activity Details
We will meet at the indicated time at Hotel Sotavento in the hotel area of Cancun to learn the basics of scuba diving for ocean diving.
The activity begins with a one-hour theory lesson featuring audio-visual content to teach the fundamental principles of diving. Following this, we will have a one-hour practical lesson in confined waters, where we will learn how to breathe with the regulator and some aspects of underwater communication.
Then, we will set sail for Manchones Reef, a 12 kilometre (7.5 mile) stretch of coral and tropical fish. During the two dives, we will explore depths of 10 metres (32 feet), observing the rich marine biodiversity. Participants may also see turtles and manta rays while swimming along the seabed. Additionally, we will visit the MUSA Underwater Museum.
After this aquatic experience, we will conclude the introduction to diving and return to the starting point after 5 hours of diving.
