Embark on an adventure as a marine explorer with this scuba diving introductory experience in Cancun. Prepare to uncover the varied marine life residing in the Caribbean Sea.
Activity Overview
The journey begins at the designated time at the Hotel Sotavento, located in Cancun's hotel zone, where we'll familiarize ourselves with the essential techniques of scuba diving, paving the way for our open sea dive.
Initially, we will engage in a one-hour theoretical session, enhanced with visual aids to grasp the fundamental aspects of diving. Following this, we will proceed to a controlled environment for an hour of practical training where we’ll practice regulator breathing and learn essential underwater communication techniques.
Next, we will head toward Manchones Reef, spanning 12 kilometers (approximately 7.5 miles) of vibrant coral and diverse marine species. During our two dives, we will descend to a depth of 10 meters (32 feet), allowing us to appreciate the abundant marine biodiversity. The serene underwater world may even reveal sightings of turtles and manta rays as we navigate along the ocean floor. Additionally, we will explore the fascinating MUSA Underwater Museum.
Concluding this remarkable aquatic journey, we will wrap up our diving introduction and make our way back to the original meet-up point after an enriching 5 hours of diving.
