On this excursion to Tulum from Cancun, we will visit a significant pre-Columbian area of the Mexican Caribbean and a Mayan village, including a swim in a cenote.
Description
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cancun and drive south to Tulum, a key Maya site on the Yucatan coast. The guided tour will start with an exploration of the main monuments, including the Temple of the Frescoes, known for its stuccoes, and the Temple of the Descending God, which highlights the history of this important Maya deity.
The tour continues to El Castillo, a notable structure offering stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. After enjoying the views, the excursion will proceed to a Mayan village. There, the locals will share insights into their customs and traditions, followed by a handmade tortilla workshop to learn about their ancestral foods.
After the workshop, you will have an hour to swim in the village's cenote before we head back to Cancun. Arrival is scheduled 5.5 to 7 hours after departure.
