On this excursion to Tulum from Cancun, we will visit a significant pre-Columbian area of the Mexican Caribbean and a Mayan village, where you can swim in a sacred cenote.

Description

Your hotel in Cancun will be the pickup point at the designated time. We will drive south to Tulum, a pre-Columbian site on the Caribbean coast, recognized as one of the most important Maya sites in the Yucatan.

The guided tour will begin with the main sacred monuments, including the Temple of the Frescoes, known for its detailed stucco decorations, and the Temple of the Descending God, exploring the history of this esteemed Maya deity.

Next, we will visit El Castillo, an impressive structure offering stunning views of the Caribbean Sea.

Following Tulum, the excursion continues to a Mayan village, where locals will share their customs and traditions. A handmade tortilla workshop will be conducted by the residents, highlighting their ancestral foods.

After the workshop, there will be one hour of free time to swim in the cenote with its striking turquoise waters. Once you have finished your swim, we will return to Cancun, with arrival scheduled 5.5 to 7 hours after departure.
