On this excursion to Tulum from Cancun, we will visit an important pre-Columbian area of the Mexican Caribbean and a Mayan village, where you can swim in a cenote.
Description
Your hotel in Cancun will be the pickup point, and we will drive south to Tulum, a key Maya site on the Yucatan coast.
The guided tour will begin by exploring the main sacred monuments, including the Temple of the Frescoes and the Temple of the Descending God, where we will learn about the history of this Maya deity.
We will then visit El Castillo, a significant structure offering stunning views of the Caribbean Sea.
Following the Tulum site, we will proceed to a Mayan village. The local inhabitants will share their customs and traditions with us. We will participate in a handmade tortilla workshop, where locals will discuss their ancestral foods.
After the workshop, you will have one hour to swim in the cenote, with its beautiful turquoise waters. We will return to Cancun after your dip, with an arrival time scheduled 5.5 to 7 hours after departure.
