On this excursion to Tulum from Cancun, we will visit a significant pre-Columbian area of the Mexican Caribbean, along with a Mayan village, featuring a chance to swim in a sacred cenote.

Description

Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel in Cancun. We will drive south to Tulum, a key Maya site on the Yucatan coast. The guided tour will start with visits to the main sacred monuments, including the Temple of the Frescoes and the Temple of the Descending God, where you will learn about a revered Maya deity.

Next, we will explore El Castillo, another notable monument that offers stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. After taking in the panoramic scenery, we will proceed to a Mayan village. Here, local inhabitants will share their customs, and you will participate in a handmade tortilla workshop showcasing ancestral foods.

You will have an hour of free time to swim in the village's cenote, known for its captivating turquoise waters. Afterward, we will return to Cancun, with an expected arrival time of 5.5 to 7 hours post-departure.
