Discover the wilderness of the Picos de Europa National Park on this small group trip to the Covadonga Lakes from Cangas de Onís. Experience nature while enjoying the landscapes of this environment.

Explore the Lakes of Covadonga

The adventure begins at the parking lot of Llerado Street in Cangas de Onís. Board our small-group vehicle to explore the beauty of Picos de Europa National Park.

For 3.5 hours, we will explore the Covadonga, Enol, and Ercina lakes at an altitude of 1100 meters. Learn about the formation of these landscapes while enjoying the surroundings and capturing photos with the lakes as your backdrop. The route focuses on nature and landscapes.

Next, we will visit Vega de Enol, known for the Gamoneu cheese. Here, you will learn about the link between extensive livestock farming and mountain ecosystems, as shepherds create this cheese.

We will stop at the Mirador de la Reina for views. With binoculars and telescopes, observe birds of prey, including vultures and golden eagles. Discover the bearded vultures' reintroduction project and their story.

Throughout the tour, we will also explore the lives of other creatures in the park, such as bears, wolves, and chamois. At the end of the adventure, we will return you to the meeting point, leaving you with memories of this experience.
