Canoeing on the Sella River

Your adventure begins at our Activity Centre located in Las Rozas (Cangas de Onís), where we will greet you and provide a comprehensive briefing. All essential equipment for your canoeing experience will be supplied, ensuring you are well-prepared for the journey ahead. You will have access to our facilities featuring changing rooms, showers, and restrooms.

Once equipped, you are free to navigate the Sella River for as long as you like. Additionally, for families, children under 12 are invited to enjoy a complimentary mini-golf activity in our recreation area!

At the end of your canoeing session, we'll ensure you return to the starting point.

Possible Routes

You can select from multiple routes based on your fitness level and preferences, all of which commence from Las Rozas in Cangas de Onís:

4 km option: This route lasts between 1 to 2 hours, leading towards Arriondas.

12 km option: Approximately 3.5 hours long, extending from Arriondas to Toraño.

19 km option: A 5-hour journey that navigates from Arriondas and Toraño to Llovio, close to the Sella's estuary in the Ría de Ribadesella.

Provided Equipment

We advise wearing comfortable clothing, along with a hat or cap, and applying sunscreen if your adventure takes place during the summer.

We will supply all necessary equipment, including canoes (available in 1, 2, or 3-seater configurations), paddles, life jackets, and dry bags for your belongings. Depending on weather conditions, we will also offer wetsuits.
